Creator of Cool Shit.

Monica is an award-winning writer, director, and producer based in Toronto and is also an alumna of Women in the Director’s Chair (WIDC). Recently, she received the Banff Artist Award from the Banff Center for Arts and Creativity for her continued development as a multidisciplinary filmmaker and storyteller. As a delegate for the Black Screen Office, she attended the inaugural Access Canada Summit and is currently participating in Reelworld’s E20 Program, developing her rom-com feature Harvest Moon.

Some of Monica's directing and producing credits include the podcast "All Roads Lead to Magic City," hosted by Amanda Cordner, currently on Apple, Amazon Prime, and Spotify. A TV Series with the same name is currently in development with Freddie Films.

Through her production company, Clark Park Films, Monica has a slate of features, TV series, documentaries, and digital and short-form content in various stages of production and development, including the upcoming feature film Kaleah, produced by Floyd Kane.

Monica intentionally takes on only a limited number of projects each year, allowing her to be completely involved in the creative process. AND she is open to new collaborations and is always looking for bold female lead stories that align with her voice and vision.
